Maldives Culture editors' note: Reliable sources indicate that Mohamed Nasheed was also arrested because he had received 'anti-government' emails, in particular the newsletter, Sandhaanu, published in Dhivehi in .pdf format. For this reason it is reported that both Anni and his computer were taken away for examination. Right-click here and select 'save target as' to download Dhivehi language August edition of Sandhaanu. The next session of the Majlis is due in October and Anni was to table a bill on "Questioning cabinet ministers in the Parliament". It had been seconded by MP for Thaa atoll, Hon. Hassan Afeef. |
