Section 29 Amendment strips Maldive magazines and newspapers of publication rights Announcements and Advertisements section Aafathis newspaper 5 March 2003 translated by Maldives Culture editors Ministry of Information, Arts and Culture Malé, Maldives Number: MIAC-D/2003/03 Announcement: Section 29 of the law of this Ministry, applying to the publication of newspapers and magazines, has been amended as stated below. Registered newspapers and magazines that have failed to publish three consecutive issues shall be cancelled. Any newspaper or magazine that has been cancelled in this manner can only be registered again after 6 months has elapsed from the date of cancellation, and after the lodgement of a registration application in accordance with the law. 1 Muharram 1424 4 March 2003 Ministry of Information, Arts and Culture Malé, Maldives Number: MIAC-D/2003/04 Announcement: The following publications, newspapers and magazines have been cancelled due to their ceasing regular publication under article 29 of the Law of Publication of Newspapers and Magazines. 1.
