'Without You' soundtrack and documentary preview released in Malé by Ismail Naseer Haveeru, 2 and 16 January 2003 Nahula A documentary about the making of Mapa's film 'Without You' is to be released on cd. This is a first for Maldives, though it is commonly done for Hollywood and Bollywood film releases. 'We are advertising the film,' says director Nahula. 'and using a cd because any scene in which Niuma appears, cannot be shown on Maldive television. The cd will be released as soon as the tickets for the film start selling. All the cds will be distributed freely. We're preparing a thousand for distribution.' Niuma Mohamed, banned from Maldive TV The cd will show activity on the film set, and some background to the production. If the film is well received, people will be interested to know how it was made. 'The cd will document the making of the film from start to finish. And with bonus songs not included in the film,' said Nahula. 'I am videoing the documentary. It will include interviews with the stars.' The cd will contain interviews with the director and leading actors and their profiles. In addition, there will be information on the location, make-up, and special effects. Nahula is planning to release 'Without You' in February or March this year. Haveeru, 16 January 2003 report The audio cd of Mapa's film 'Without You' was released on Tuesday and is in great demand. Film director Nahula said the cd, which includes a 15 minutes video clip showing the making of the film. The inclusion of the video clip marks a unique difference from the soundtrack cds released in Maldives in the past. 'And this is just a preview,' said Nahula. 'The full length video cd of the making of the film will be released later.'
