I don't know if Koli have assisted to built your house like he had for Abdulla Hameed, FJ [Fatullah Jameel] and many other ministers...
Well, why aren't the MSL crew paid now? Don't they have families at home. The families don't need bread or medical treatment or schooling?
Why is that the shore officers and managers get their salary in time? Why are you guys can't speak the truth. Why are you so scared still. Do you and your family were brought up by warnings of Foolhudhigu Handi or Medhu Dhaabba or Baokaloa? [Maldivian mythical bogeymen, frightening only to children]...
We were asked to keep quite so to live a peaceful life in Maldives...

Recently Finance ministry under the ministership of Arif Hilmy tried to dig and embarass Koli but eventually agreed that there were no personal gains and agreed that MSL to be made part of government with some financing schemes.
One of the Maldivians who was in this group was a friend of mine and he told me that they were going to fix up Koli. The investigators according to him were mainly foreign experts.
After some time he told me that that there were no errors and all the documents were kept intact after so many years which he praised.
Koli never ill-treated Maldivian crew instead he gave them all the support needed for them but as the CEO he has to take disciplinary actions where appropriate. His actions were justified under the law and terms of the contracts...
... monthly wages were not given on time , mind you that most of the international shipping companys are same as MSL on this and it is a norm in shipping community. In MSL you are guaranteed of what you earn and up to date there isn't a single individual whose salaries are unsettled.
To my surprise those who complain about late payment keep coming to the company contract after contract but why?? They get other benefits such as medical , food and no discrimination.
Talk about the few recruiting people in the Maldives. Recently I met a vessel full of Maldivian crew dying of hunger but the Maldivian agent kept quiet. He was not tried for manslaughter ...
The only problem with koli... he trusts Maldivians too much....

Our friend did not comment on Koli's smuggling rackets while he was in Colombo, Bombay and again thereafter in S'pore. Why?? This is known to whole of the Shipping community. Koli was deported from these places for his smuggling activities and our Govt. took him to safety all the time...'

Since you have portrayed Koli as Lord Bhudha let me reveal some truth to this forum readers from some of Koli's dirty games.
When President Maumoon came to power in 70's Maumoon trusted koli so much that koli was given a free hand to handle all imports to Maldives, especially machineries, equipments and building materials, as if no one else was capable of doing that.
Koli took full advantage of this opportunity to suck the blood of Maldivians. His quotations were final and gets approved automatically. Until recently when the Gov. woke up to find his corrupt practices.
Maldives has never experienced a brand new item as Koli supplied substandard and second hand machinery and other items, especially to airport, MPA, Coast Guard vessels and so on for the price of brand new ones and no one dared to question him as a place in Dhoonidhoo is guaranteed for any one who dares to say anything against koli. His excuses are always that the Gov. does not have money to buy brand new ones Which Gov. will have when he sucks half of the country's wealth.
Koli has properties in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Phillipines and UK...
These are apart from countless lands he has robbed from poor families in Malé...
He is untouchable and not answerable to anyone maybe not even to God!! ...
In my area of business I happen to meet respectable business men around the world and the moment I mention Koli's name their first reaction would be.. Oh! you meant that fat smuggler!!! Wow! What a compliment! How can you expect to get any respect from the Maldivians when the whole community knows he is robbing the country...
When koli developed his resorts like Kuramathi, hundreds of MSL employees were sent to work from Ali Waheed Koshi (an empire managed by Ali Waheed- Koli's lap dog who does all dirty work for him in Malé) all paid by MSL. Those were just few of Koli's past corruption.
Now let's talk about present position. Recently company's fleet was reduced to just 3 ships, running between Male/Spore. So why the hell are they keeping so many shore staff in Male and Spore, especially in technical department when Koli can run his private shipping line (namely Inter Asia in Male and Land Oil Comp in Spore) with no shore-based engineers. MSL competitor Lily Shipping runs 4 ships with 1/4 of MSL staff...
Maybe Koli has only few years before he goes to Hell so I wonder why he is still so bloodthirsty like a dracula!
Maybe he gets a kick out of spoiling young generations. Tell your God koli that its time to stop these kind of corrupt practices and repent. Enough is enough ! He has sucked enough Maldivian blood...
You talk about education and degrees. Let me ask you what degree your koli holds? GCE O level? A level? Diploma? First Degree? Masters? Phd? Unfortunately none. I hear he was a 7th grade drop out. This proves you don't need a Phd to run an organisation.
Education is one part and a sensible brain is another part. So how dare you black rat accuse MM, N.Shiham, D.Shakir and the rest you have listed who has given their life for the company? I tell you, you can shoove your degree up yours! ...
If koli had disciplined you to keep your stinking mouth shut all these dirt would not have surfaced. Let me remind you once again you koli's slave.

Hey who is this koli? are you talking about Koli Ali Manik? do he have resorts in Maldives?
I donno as far my knowledge he is not a share holder of Universal. any way who is this guy? Cabinet minister or a parliament member?... Koli is just a employee of Mr Gayyoom...
Why u guys are talking about only koli? u said now MSL have only 3 ships! let me tell you something. 80% of government employees are corrupted, not only koli...
We can't improve a country by just talking about individuals, if u found any one guilty of anything take necessary action. yet it may not be possible under maumoon's regime.
so ssso what shall we do now?
