Curse from the deed of trusteeship for the Koruveli Mosque, Hithadhoo, Addu atoll, AH 1167 (1789 AD):

Any of the trustees who spends the income of this mosque without giving the others their share will commit the sins of those who drink intoxicating liquor and eat pork, and will acquire the everlasting anger of God and will go to hell.

Any unjust man who meddles with this trusteeship and destroys the deed will commit the sin of those who worship idols and will acquire the unpardonable anger of God and descend to hell as a companion of Satan.

Dhivehi copy in H.C.P. Bell's Excerpta Maldiviana 25/16/96 1930s (available in Sri Lanka at National Archives, Colombo), translation by website authors.
